Nearly two years after the 2023 Ghaliya Banu Hashim, Im excited to reveal the Ghaliya Banu Hashim 2025 on occasion of Eid Al Adha
All the ingredients used are same as the previous batch with an addition of two Oud oils, Omar II and Oud Safeer.
This ghaliya lays down an unbelievably rich, enduring and satisfying classic oud, musc, and anbar base. Very long lasting, sophisticated, natural, and appealing – just outstanding in this regard. I mentioned this first because the base is so appealing and continues to surround one with a meditative and calming scent for so many hours – it is the soul of the experience, not just an afterthought or the residue left over from the top and heart notes. Truly remarkable.
This profoundly oudy base is melded with a complex shifting spicy, juicy fruity and floral composition, at times I think I smell cardamom, at other times camphor or borneol, impressions of peach and osmanthus combined with rose, a melange of countless other things defies my ability to sort out its parts.
The combination makes for a beautiful shifting and addictive attar and it lays down a beautiful skin sent that can last 24 hours on skin. It also combines beautifully with other fragrances that may be layered with it either deliberately or by accident. This perfume really demonstrates the transformative magic of oud, musc, and anbar skillfully blended.

This is Ghaliya-Regal. The original version was (in my eyes) a watershed moment for Ghaliyas & this is that very Ghaliya, “Reborn”
Welcomed by soft camphor, you’re met with an intense, full bodied Oudh soaked in heavy Ambergris, uplifted by ultra-fine grains of powdery elegant Musk. That’s all you get, that’s all ‘I’ need.
By the grace of God, I’ve tried several Ghaliyas & made a few of my own, but this is my favourite of all time. It stands apart like a crown jewel, befitting of its name, the clan of Banu Hashem.

This is really magical stuff in my opinion. Beautiful at all stages, it opens with an interplay of fruity, oudy and musky notes; the ghaliya has outstanding long-term performance, with a really unusual and beautiful lingering accord formed by judicious use of ambergris, musk, and oud. This is one that continues to be noticeable for me for up to 24 hours – extremely suave sophisticated long lasting and beautiful development. First in its class!

This is my fourth time wearing it, and it never fails to make me feel so happy. A delicate rose note opens the composition, gently touched by camphor. A bold, beastly Hindi oud emerges, pursued by soft floral nuances in the background. Powdery and musky undertones add depth, while watery, salty, and aquatic amber infuses the blend with elegance and dimension♥️
